Course Description:
This course is designed as an in-depth analysis of the TF50 Marine Gas Turbine and its supporting systems in a shipboard environment. The target audience is those technicians that will have direct responsibility for maintaining the turbine. Detailed maintenance requirements are covered. Fault isolation to the component level is discussed. Practical activity on the actual engine reinforces the learning process. Use of available publications is stressed. Assimilation and comprehension of the training material is evaluated by a score comparison of a Pre/Final exam.
