History

Based in Alpharetta, Georgia USA, Vericor Power Systems’ heritage goes back more than 30 years, starting with AVCO Lycoming, the originators of our TF Series marine gas turbines, and culminating with MTU Aero Engine. We are proud to claim affiliations with Allied Signal and Honeywell during our rich heritage. In June of 2002, Vericor became a wholly owned subsidiary of MTU Aero Engines.

Lycoming Turbine Engine Co acquired by AlliedSignal from Textron and with it the TF40 marine gas turbine – production moved to Phoenix, AZ. |
1999
AlliedSignal (now Honeywell) sets up joint venture with MTU-Aero of Munich for Marine and Industrial named Vericor Power Systems LLC.
2000
Vericor Worldwide Headquarters open in Alpharetta area.
2002 - June
Vericor becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of MTU Aero Engines.
2003 - March
Opened business office, maintenance and repair and training facility in New Orleans, Louisiana.
