Diesel Center and Vericor Sign Sales, Packaging and Distribution Agreement.
Agreement Targets Italian Yacht Builder Market

Genoa – Diesel Center and Vericor Power System announced today an agreement to package and sell Vericor marine gas turbines to the Italian mega-yacht market. The agreement provides Vericor access to Diesel Center’s extensive existing customer base while providing Diesel Center an attractive addition to its extensive list of propulsion systems.

“The team of Diesel Center and Vericor brings together all the necessary resources for marine customers needing reliable, high-speed power,” said Tom Bray, Vericor’s CEO. “Vericor is the world leader in gas turbines for the high speed yacht market and a natural addition to our portfolio of propulsion systems for our extensive customer base“ added Dr. Michele Maggi, President of Diesel Center.

At the same time, Vericor, Diesel Center and ZF Padova S.p.A., Italy unveiled a new yacht boost propulsion package designed especially for luxury and high performance yachts from 28 meters to over 50 meters. This package makes use of a newly designed ZF main reduction gear to achieve a new standard for low overall package weight and compact size. TF Series gas turbines, such as the TF50, deliver up to 4200 kW of added power in a center line drive package weighing only 2450 kg.
