Essential Functions


• Place purchase orders for various requirements, including component repairs, Engineering Services, non-recurring engineering (NRE), tooling, and material components for new gas turbine production, maintenance, repair, & overhaul (MRO), and aftermarket.
• Monitor and track delivery dates on all purchase orders, expediting as needed to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
• Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures to support indirect/MRO purchasing, optimizing procurement operations.
• Support and administrate Discrepant Material Report (DMR) processes and oversee supplier rework progress to maintain product quality standards.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to facilitate and support component repairs, ensuring smooth workflow and timely delivery.
• Assist Supplier Development by placing purchasing orders to support their specific requirements and projects.
• Provide support to Engineering teams with RFx requirements and the procurement of essential materials and services.
• Establish, manage, and maintain critical supplier relationships to ensure a steady supply of high-quality parts.
• Conduct comprehensive supplier quotation cost analysis, considering cost, lead time, tooling, and NRE, and make informed supplier recommendations.
• Manage direct material purchasing with sub-supplier scope and effectively handle lead times of up to 24 months.
• Interface and collaborate with various departments, including manufacturing, engineering, finance, quality, and program management, to facilitate seamless communication and achieve common goals.
• Cultivate a strong customer satisfaction mindset, enhancing internal and external customer relationships.
• Continuously monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues that may arise, and implementing improvement plans where necessary.
• Adhere to business processes related to purchase order processing, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Utilize your expertise with ERP systems, such as Great Plains or equivalent, to efficiently manage and process purchase orders.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of standard terms and conditions in supplier relationships, ensuring favorable agreements and legal compliance.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of bills of material (BOM), source control drawings, technical drawings, and various manufacturing processes involved in producing industrial products and services.
• Apply your expertise and familiarity with aero-derivative gas turbine components to contribute to specialized procurement needs.
• Leverage your proficiency in MS Office applications to perform tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 quality systems.
• Display strong written and oral communication skills, fostering effective communication within the team and with suppliers.

    • Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of applicable professional experience in procurement.
    • Detail oriented, meticulous, diligent, and well organized.
    • Demonstrated self-starter with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced changing environment.
