Production Control Planner

Location: Greer, SC USA
Reports To: Senior Materials Planning Manager
  • Responsible for development/tracking/execution of finite detail manufacturing schedules in support of site business plans. This position is also responsible for on-time delivery of spares and aftermarket demand for gas turbines and detailed components.
  • Responsible for scheduling, clearing, and issuing pick tickets for engine production kits.
  • Responsible for Spares tracking, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Identify shortages withing 0-3 month time fence and coordinate with buyers for pull-in to ensure delivery schedule.
  • Responsible for daily/weekly shortage tracking and reporting.
  • Create, release, and maintain manufacturing orders in Great Plain MRP system.
  • Advise management of critical material issues and their corrective actions affecting delivery.
  • Execute strategies developed by Strategic Planning to optimizing inventory levels.
  • Manage point of use inventory (backflushed inventory) process.
  • Closely collaborate with shop operations for scheduling assembly and test of engines.
  • Coordinated effectively with operations, logistics, purchasing, engineering, finance, and program management functions.
  • Implementation of standard work and processes across areas of responsibility.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5 to 10 years of applicable professional experience in material planning, inventory management, and logistics.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with MRP system management.
  • US work authorized applicants only.
  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains or Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in gas turbine engine manufacturing or maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO).
  • Experience with material planning firm & forecasted orders in MRP systems.
  • Experience with bills of material, manufacturing routers, scheduling manufacturing work centers, source control, technical drawings, and manufacturing of industrial products and services.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of competency in MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • APICS certification.
