Essential Functions
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with Vericor's business objectives to optimize the supply chain and enhance overall efficiency.
• Identify and build relationships with suppliers worldwide, fostering long-term partnerships based on mutual trust and benefit.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, and Production, to understand their material requirements and develop sourcing plans that meet their needs.
• Manage the creation and negotiation of Long-Term Agreements (LTA) with strategic suppliers, ensuring stability in the supply chain and securing favorable terms and conditions for both parties.
• Continuously monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues that may arise, and implementing improvement plans where necessary.
• Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize sourcing costs while maintaining product quality and delivery timelines.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sourcing department, streamlining processes and enhancing overall efficiency.
• Manage relationships across all department lines. Professionally communicate and interact with all levels of management both inside and outside of Supply Chain. This will include the Operations, Supply Chain, Accounting, Legal, and Planning departments.
• Increase the overall value to Vericor through the use of financial analysis and TCO modeling, negotiate savings and/or benefits to lower the overall manufacturing cost to the organization. Create Key Performance Indicators to ensure supplier performance on value added benefits.
• Conduct in-depth market research and stay abreast of industry trends and developments to identify potential suppliers and sourcing opportunities.
• Stay updated on relevant industry regulations, compliance requirements, and ethical practices to ensure Vericor's sourcing activities align with legal and corporate guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the gas turbine, aerospace, or heavy machinery industry.
- Strong knowledge of gas turbine manufacturing processes, materials, and component specification is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic sourcing plans, achieving cost reductions, and improving supplier performance.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex supplier relationships.
- Experience with global sourcing and a strong understanding of international business practices.
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles and inventory management.
- Experience in creating and managing Long Term Agreements (LTA) with key suppliers.
- Analytical mindset and proficiency in using data-driven insights to make informed decisions.
- Leadership abilities and experience managing and developing a team.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- High level of adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 quality systems.
