As the Technical Project Manager you will be an instrumental part of the Engineering organization, reporting to the Sr. Engineering Manager of Design and Product Integrity.

    This role will be responsible for engineering projects across all product lines of Vericor gas turbines and will work in close cooperation within Engineering and across other Vericor Divisions. As a technical lead within Engineering, you will manage complex projects and initiatives and will work with internal and external customers to contribute to Vericor’s business strategy and customer success, particularly as it pertains to product installation or portfolio expansion opportunities.

    • Manage cross-functional teams to evaluate, coordinate and implement engineering design changes to meet operational and functional requirements of internally and externally-driven projects through scope, schedule, and budget definition and tracking
    • Technical focal point within Engineering, serving as the liaison between Vericor’s Business Development arm and Engineering to support new business opportunities as well as awarded contracts through preliminary, detailed, and final integration design phases
    • Analyze customer’s problems and develop and provide system solutions for various installations and turbine driven equipment including, but not limited to, centrifugal and reciprocating compression, generators, and marine water jets
    • Apply, and improve, New Product Development (NPD) processes related to Technical Projects; Phase-gate process progressing from conceptual design, through preliminary and detailed design, culminating in verification and validation
    • Lead inter-disciplinary team meetings to ensure that projects are prioritized and completed in a timely manner with an emphasis on clearly defining roles and responsibilities and actions across internal and external participants. Monitoring and reporting milestones, key performance indicators and variances.
    • Prepare thorough risk-based evaluations and down selections of options and opportunities as they pertain to assigned projects and strategic decisions.
    • Communicate progress to senior management across organizations and interface directly with Customer technical teams up to Management level
    • BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering discipline. Advanced degree and/or PMP Certification is a plus, but not required.
    • 10-15 years of industry experience with Gas Turbines, 5+ years with demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex projects.
    • Expertise in turbine integration of various installations and driven equipment including, but not limited to, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, and generators
    • Strong knowledge of turbomachinery design and required ancillary support systems – inlet and exhaust structures, hydraulic, fuel and oil service, electrical, etc.
    • Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze and organize large projects and technical tasks, and translate them into cohesive and actionable plans.
    • This role will require significant customer engagement. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills, organization skills, and time-management skills.
    • Exceptional Microsoft Office familiarity, and discussion facilitation and presentation skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, Teams, etc.
