Compliance Manager

Vericor Power Systems is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to lead
and oversee the company’s regulatory compliance programs related to government contracting,
export controls, international trade, and facility access management. This role is responsible for
ensuring compliance with applicable U.S. federal regulations, export laws, and internal policies
while supporting operational efficiency across manufacturing, engineering, and international
business activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), export
licensing, visitor management procedures, and trade compliance frameworks relevant to the gas
turbine and aerospace/defense manufacturing industries.

Essential Functions

•Regulatory & Government Contract Compliance
• Ensure company compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and applicable government contracting requirements.
• Maintain and monitor compliance with System for Award Management (SAM.gov) registrations and representations/certifications.
• Support audits, assessments, and internal reviews related to federal contracts and regulatory obligations.
• Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
Export Control & Trade Compliance
• Manage the company’s export compliance program in accordance with:
o Export Administration Regulations (EAR), including EAR99 classifications.
o International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), where applicable
• Determine export classifications for products, components, technical data, and software.
• Prepare, submit, and manage export license applications and related documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering, sales, and logistics teams to ensure compliant international shipments and data transfers.
• Maintain records required for export transactions and audits.
Visitor & Facility Compliance Management
• Oversee visitor management processes for domestic and international visitors.
• Ensure compliance with facility access requirements, foreign national visitor protocols, and restricted technology access controls.
• Coordinate screening and approval procedures for visitors, contractors, and third-party personnel.
Risk Management & Internal Controls
• Identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions and mitigation strategies.
• Monitor regulatory changes impacting manufacturing, defense, aerospace, and export-controlled environments.
• Conduct internal compliance investigations and recommend process improvements.
• Interface with external agencies, auditors, and legal counsel, as necessary.
Training & Communication
• Deliver employee training related to export controls, government contracting compliance, and visitor procedures.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related questions across departments.
• Promote a culture of ethical business conduct and regulatory awareness.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Legal Studies, International Trade, Engineering, or related field.
    • 5+ years of compliance experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or industrial sectors.
    Strong working knowledge of:
    o FAR regulations
    o Export Administration Regulations (EAR), including EAR99 classifications.
    o Export licensing procedures.
    o SAM.gov registration and compliance requirements
    • Experience managing export-controlled technical data and international transactions.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
    Desired Qualifications:
    • Experience in gas turbines, aerospace, defense, or energy manufacturing environments.
    • Familiarity with ITAR regulations and restricted party screening.
    • Certified Export Specialist (CES) or similar compliance certification preferred.
    • Experience working with U.S. government contracts and defense-related customers.
    • Experience with business-related topics including intellectual property, proprietary information, and legal requirements for the necessary types of business-related contracts and agreements (PIA, MSA, Sales Contracts, MOU’s, LTA, Constant agreements, etc.)
