Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Scope Of Position

Lead a team of product and manufacturing engineers supporting all aspects of production and MRO of turbine engines and components. Ensure engineering support within Operations for both existing designs and the implementation of newly designed products into production.
    • Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with Vericor’s technical standards, regulatory requirements (ISO 9001), and customer specifications.
    • Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex manufacturing issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
    • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and improvement of robust, reliable production processes, tooling, and equipment to enhance efficiency, capacity, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Responsible for the creation and improvement of manufacturing work instructions.
    • Coordinate with design engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure new products are designed for manufacturing (DFM) and transition smoothly from prototype to production.
    • Plan, justify, and manage capital and expense budgets for new equipment, automation, and facility improvements, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Define, track, and control key engineering performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Execute manufacturing engineering activities to achieve the company’s delivery, cost, and quality objectives.
    • Provide timely disposition and support for Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs) and Request for Material Review Authorizations (RMRAs).
    • Serve as the primary liaison between manufacturing engineering and other departments (e.g., design engineering, field service, supply chain, quality, operations) to align initiatives with overall business objectives.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
    • Experience with manufacturing of gas turbine engines and components.
    • Experience with Maintenance, Repair, or Overhaul of turbine engines and components.
    • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001
    • Strong technical aptitude and business acumen.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction, supplier improvements and relationship building.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • 10-20% travel required; may require both domestic and international travel
    • Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder.
    • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment, preferably in aerospace or turbomachinery.
    • 3-5+ years leadership experience managing engineering team
    • Knowledge of AS9100 standards.
    • Six Sigma or equivalent quality certification.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
