Scope Of Position

• Responsible for the overall execution of all manufacturing operations of the assembly and test of gas turbine engines, modules, components, and accessories to assure compliance to technical data, contractual obligations, and company standards.
• Responsible for the overall execution of all operations of the disassembly, cleaning, and inspection of gas turbine engines, modules, components, and accessories to assure compliance to technical data, contractual obligations, and company standards.
    • Execute manufacturing operations that achieve strategy and initiatives to meet customers’ production engine and MRO schedule, price, and quality requirements.
    • Develop and lead a highly motivated, empowered and skilled team to execute the operations strategy, focusing on manpower efficiency, schedule fidelity, inventory optimization and quality, to achieve Vericor’s business objectives.
    • Makes hire and fire decisions for the manufacturing team direct reports. Provides vision, leadership and direction to this team and clearly defines roles, responsibilities, and performance objectives for each member to successfully achieve the Company’s yearly production and MRO delivery targets.
    • Responsible for scheduling assembly and test of all engines (production, MRO, conversion, life limited, etc).
    • Includes responsibility for increasing production and MRO capacity as Vericor’s business grows,
    • Responsible for meeting shop assembly and test costs, quality, and delivery targets to achieve Vericor’s Operating Plan (OP).
    • Achieve financial objectives including revenue targets, operational expenses, and inventory requirements.
    • Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the facilities and maintenance activities for the site which consists of three buildings for manufacturing and testing of gas turbine engines.
    • Manage all Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) activities for the facility, including all procedures, safety initiatives, tracking of TCIR, monthly metrics, action items and corrections.
    • Project manage strategic growth initiatives to support future production and customer growth.
    • Lead productivity and continuous improvement actions to reduce costs and improve delivery.
    • Develop, administer, and ensure compliance of all processes and procedures.
    • Process owner for shop operations (SO) procedures.
    • Achieve hours per engine targets.
    • Supports achieving first pass yield (FPY) targets.

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years of applicable professional experience in gas turbine engine manufacturing or maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO).
    • Experience with military and commercial contracts and with various forms of maintenance services agreements.
    • Experience in manufacturing environment, repair processes, and familiar with “lean manufacturing” principles
    • Experience with export control (ITAR/EAR) requirements.
    • Experience with OSHA safety requirements
    • US Citizen or permanent resident status.
    • Some travel required (~10%)
    • Demonstrated self-starter with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
    • Quick learner who is used to working proactively and independently.
    • Ability to interface effectively with engineering, procurement, finance and program management functions.
    • Encourages innovation and demonstrates out-of-the box thinking.
    • Strong customer satisfaction mindset with clear “can-do” attitude and ability to enhance internal/external customer relationships.
    • Proven track record of completing assigned tasks on time without further follow-up.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality System requirements.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Previous MRO/FAR 145 repair station experience is preferred.
