Richard Clinton has been named to fill the position of President and CEO of Vericor Power Systems LLC effective June 1, 2014. Mr. Clinton will be replacing Ben Mahr who has recently been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President, Commercial Programs at MTU Munich.

“Vericor is performing quite well right now” says Dr. Stefan Weingartner, President of MTU Maintenance, “and Mr. Clinton certainly has played a major role in achieving that success. He has close relationships with Vericor’s key long term customers and is now developing connections in the Industrial Oil and Gas market, a market that Vericor considers pivotal to its future success.” Ben Mahr supported the decision to appoint Rick, stating “Rick understands Vericor’s business and is well respected by Vericor’s employees. He and I have worked closely over the past 2 ½ years in charting our current strategy and Rick is the ideal candidate to ensure that the goals of that strategy are realized. I expect the transition to go very smoothly.”

Mr. Clinton was part of the original executive team that started Vericor in 1999 and has held various positions including Director of Engineering, Vice President of Operations and Aftermarket and Vice President of Sales and Aftermarket during his tenure at Vericor. Mr. Clinton has a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University and a Master of Science degree in Corporate Finance from Fairfield University.

Mr. Clinton is very excited about this challenging opportunity. “We have a strong team in place and a full order book from our existing military customers. In the longer term we look to grow our industrial business through strong alliances with key customers and suppliers. I look forward to leading this transition and into a successful future” said Clinton.
