In September Vericor held its annual Operator Conference and Customer Appreciation Day for commercial marine customers and operators. This year the conference returned to Cannes, France a location convenient to most of the Mediterranean based yachts that employ a TF40 or TF50 marine gas turbine propulsion engine.

This year's Conference offered the traditional mix of technical updates, maintenance tips and question and answer session. While the Vericor gas turbines are not complicated to operate, Vericor enhances the ownership experience by bringing their customer support team out each year to interact with the operator community emphasizing their commitment to this market segment.

This year it was announced that La Spezia based ABA Yachts will be providing technical support for the Vericor fleet based in the Med. ABA's experience in high end yacht service together with their well-equipped facility and staff of over 30 will be a huge asset to the Med based operators. ABA Yachts will be performing troubleshooting, scheduled maintenance and inspections and Level 1 spare parts supply and replacement.

In addition T3 Automation, a leader in yacht systems and one of Vericor's partner/providers gave an update on their new system offerings. AIM+, Vericor training contractor was also on hand as in previous years.

Richard Clinton, Vericor VP Operations and Customer Support said "Every year it is important to let these guys know that we are just a phone call or email away and to come out and talk to them face to face to ensure that we are delivering world class support to their operations". Richard explained further: "The engines are so reliable that there are not many reasons for them to contact us, all the more reason for us to come out each year."

Notable attendees this year were MY Blade, one of the more striking yachts in the family. It had an eventful charter season and the new crew reported that the gas turbine propulsion system was a factor in the success of their season.
